Last time when we went jogging down on the river path, we found a rope climbing structure to play on over by the path. I thought "there should be a playground here" but didn't investigate. Today, before our jog, I drove around the park and found the playground on the opposite side of where we were last time. Haha, success! I promised the girls playground time after I got in my jog.
2.5 miles later, we loaded the car back up and drove over to the playground (did I mention it was also cold, overcast, and windy? brrrrrr). The girls were elated and jumping all over the equipment in excitement. E, in grand style, stepped right in front of L as she was swinging and got nailed/punted into the air and landed about three feet away on the ground. Much crying ensued, but was soon stifled when she noticed a baby climbing wall. I love how kids at this age are like bipolar people to the extreme - SAD! HAPPY! SAD! HAPPY! Thank goodness they had a good time, but dang was it getting chilly! I was so glad when they asked if they could play in the car.
