Tuckered out on vacation

Up again and back at it.  We took advantage of the early entry that Disneyland hotel guests get and got into Disneyland earlier than opening time.  The park opened at 9am, and we could have gotten in at 8am, but we got in at 8:30am.  Awesome!  We rode the monorail in, did the Finding Nemo submarine ride, the husband went off and rode Star Tours (Star Wars), the girls and I shopped as well as rode the carousel, and we checked out the Fantasy Faire that had just opened that morning.  It's apparently where the princesses will be from now on, and it even has a princess story theater!  So cool.  We then finally got the girls a souvenir each - L chose a Cinderella figurine set that has the prince, changeable clothing, and a little suitcase, while E chose the light-up twirly princess toy that she had had her eye on since the first afternoon we set foot in the park.  Happy girls.

We wandered back over to California Adventure to see some things.  L was complaining that she was tired and whined a lot, but we figured she'd be okay for a bit.  We saw Goofy conduct his silly water concert in the Paradise Bay area, and then we went to lunch at the pizzeria in the back of the park.  During lunch, L started crying, complaining that she was tired, and then puked up her entire lunch.  My first thought was:  nuts, now we have to go back to our hotel room.  My second thought was:  does she know how much we just paid for that lunch?!?  My third thought was:  oh, I hope she's okay.  Bad Mommy moment, I know!

So, we went back to the hotel, carrying two tired little girls (L puked one more time while we were walking back - thank goodness for Disney bags!).  I thought we should take a shortcut - instead of going all the way back out to the entrance of California Adventure and then cutting all the way across Downtown Disney, I figured we could cut through the Grand Californian Hotel, because I knew there was an entrance there into California Adventure.  I was right!  We walked through what felt like the entire hotel to an exit very close to where the monorail was.  Score!  That hotel was immense and so over the top - that's probably what it's the most expensive hotel to stay at of all the ones Disney has by the resorts.  I mean, the main foyer was 6 stories tall.  WOW.

The girls slept.  I took advantage of the time given to me by going back to the music teacher's conference.  Remember that?  The original reason I was coming here?  LOL.  I met up with a few teachers who wanted to discuss things with me, looked through the exhibit hall, came back for E and took her to part of a student competition recital (she liked it), bought some stuff in the exhibit hall (with people cooing over E), and then tried to make L feel a bit better in the hotel room.  We went out to dinner at Coco's (near Disney) and all L wanted was fruit.  :(  I ducked out to the Anderson & Roe piano duo concert for one piece tonight, and then came back to be with the girls, pack, and do other stuff while the husband went out to take night pictures and see the World of Color show at California Adventure (he loved it but said it was very packed).

I found this in the exhibit hall.  Wouldn't you love to get this?!  HA!

Here's hoping L is better for traveling tomorrow, but I'm not going to hold my breath.  At least it's not terribly far and it doesn't last too long.
