Marana 10K Run

Today was a better day.  My husband got home last night around 11:30pm, the girls were happy to have both of us around (though we were all tired), and I got some time to myself by running.  The race wasn't great, but I did it.  It was 85F, sunny, and had a 4:15pm start time (WTF?!?).  I had a great first three miles (8:45/mile!), and then just died for the last three.  I think I was overheating, even with all the water/Gatorade I was drinking, and it was getting to me that I haven't run in anything near this warm since October.  Nonetheless, I finished in 1:01:55 (according to my clock).  If I had kept up with the girl I was trying to pace with early on, I'd have finished around 57:00.  Meh, c'est la vie.

Really?  THIS is what I get to run in this afternoon???  This blows.

My race bib and medal I got for finishing.  (and my awesome orange shirt, of course!)

Me post-race.  I love the salt that crusts on my skin after running.  Yummy.  :p
