High protein, low carb

My doctor called today:  my thyroid is normal.  So, all the extra weight on me is my own fault.  Great.  I have nothing to blame but myself.

She had mentioned as well on Tuesday that I should try a high protein, low carb diet.  That led to a ton of reading on foods that are high in protein and high in carbs, so that I'd know what to go towards and what to avoid.  Then, a trip to the grocery store was in order to get some of these things.  Then, a change in diet.  Hmm.

Yesterday was okay.  Today?  I was starving by 3pm.  I'm going to have to figure out a better balance.  Breakfast seems to be going great, but lunch is not.  Maybe that means I'll have to beef up my salad (literally!).  It probably didn't help that I didn't have dinner until 8pm, but c'est la vie.

I wonder how else I can incorporate more protein and less carbs in my diet?  Hmm...
