Today was the day L had been looking forward to for so long - the day that I got to stay with her all day at school. It was actually a really fun (but exhausting) time with the six other kids and parents. It was COLD outside, but that didn't seem to slow the kids down!
The first thing they did was play play play with all the new games their teacher had set out. Then, decorate treat bags for the piñata later. After that, it was a video about baby Jesus (it's a Baptist preschool) and how he came to be. Then it was outside with a giant ball and parachute to play and burn off some energy. L had about three meltdowns on the playground because she didn't want to share the giant ball with the other 20 kids running around. Seriously? Ugh. After that, we headed over to another part of the school, strung up the piñata, and the kids all took turns slamming it with a pole. No one broke it open, so one of the dads just broke it open and dumped out the contents. Talk about kids going crazy to get the candy, lol! Then, back inside to warm up, decorate sugar cookies, sing songs, exchange book gifts, and pack up to head home.
It truly was fun to sit there and play with L all day at school. I also can't imagine how her teacher does it everyday and not go home completely worn out! I hope L enjoyed it as much as I did. :)
