Accidents happen

E has been out of diapers for a month now.  She's been in underwear all day for about 3-4 months, but out of night/sleep diapers for a month.  In any case, the girls got a new dollhouse today for their half birthdays.  E was so caught up in playing with them that she completely forgot to go potty.  She stood up, looked at me like she was very confused, and then let loose a torrent right where she was standing.  Thank goodness she had a skirt on, so only her undies got wet, and thank goodness she was standing over a plastic case that caught most of it!  Still, we had to chat about going to the potty when she feels the need, not when she remembers at the last moment.  E agreed that #1 and #2 goes in the potty and that she shouldn't have gone in the middle of the living room.  I know that accidents happen, and they probably will for awhile, but I felt bad that she was on the verge of tears when she did it because she knew she shouldn't have.  It will get better!  I just have to keep telling myself that.
