Birthday party

Today was my father-in-law's birthday party, though his actual birthday isn't until Tuesday.  It was great fun to spend the morning/afternoon with him and my mother-in-law indulging in breakfast, lunch, cupcakes, and all kinds of fun with the girls.  It makes me thankful that we live close enough to family that we can celebrate things like this with them, as well as see the day-to-day things go by too.  Happiest of birthdays to you, father-in-law, and may you have many, many more!

  1. Wow. Starting off as a wonderful family celebration, it just got better and better. And on the REAL Bdy, Tuesday, I went for an early workout at the Y where I was joined by another Cardio-class buddy (Kate), and it kept getting better from there. K and E brought a huge bunch of balloons and chocolate chocolate-chip cookies to my work place. I had such a great time sharing with the guards and Y patrons that I took the happiness right into the next day and forgot to get back on track with life. I forgot to get back home in time to babysit. First time to neglect duties. Guess I really am getting old. All was forgiven with lemonade and mini-hotdogs and crackers.
    It's great to be grampa!!
