Which is cuter?

Which color dog do you find cuter:  the red one or the black one?

Now, which look do you like better:  cropped ears or non-cropped ears?

The husband and I are just trying to decide what characteristics to request of a breeder.  Some are really stingy about the ear thing - did you know it's an AKC standard to have Dobermans with cropped ears, and yet the European dog standards state that it's illegal to dock the tails or crop the ears of any dog?  Yeah, real nice there.  We're leaning toward uncropped ears because we're not going to be showing a dog.
