A step in the right direction
I stopped letting L have her own kid shopping cart at the grocery store because she had way too many meltdowns when I tried to remove items from her cart. Today, I told her we'd try it again and see how it went. If she had a meltdown, we'd never get a kid cart again. If not, then we could keep trying it. She was wonderful with it, aside from ramming her sister now and then. When we got up to line (where she usually has her meltdown), she immediately put her items on the conveyor belt, announced to the cashier that she was buying all this, and then rammed her sister repeatedly (E didn't care, lol). I was impressed that she could hold it together. She was sad when she put her cart back, but I told her since she had been so good we could use it again. Cue happy face. This is definitely a step in the right direction!
