E started napping yesterday in her toddler bed. I say "her" toddler bed when in actuality it was L's bed just a few weeks ago. However, since L now has a twin bed, E got the toddler bed. She still sleeps at night in the crib, but the napping is a transition phase to full-time bed status.
I realize E is almost 2, but I'm still shocked that she's old enough to do this. At 22 months, she's amazingly capable. She speaks in 2- and 3-word sentences all the time (mind blowing!), is very capable of getting into whatever mischief her heart desires, understands everything that's going on around her and is being said to her, can feed herself, tries to potty on her own, and even tries dressing herself. Where did my sweet teeny baby go??? It almost makes me want to have another baby to fill the "baby" void, but that would just be a disaster. I just can't wrap my mind around my youngest being almost 2. 2!
E is still sitting in her bed playing right now, but luckily she hasn't run out of it to play in her room with other stuff. There's a baby gate across the door, but I guess it's not needed (like I had anticipated - YAY!). Now if only she'd take a nap!
