Election Day 2012

Today was election day.  It's that wonderful day of the year where A) you get to vote for candidates and/or issues, B) the damn phone calls about said candidates and/or issues finally stop, and C) you seriously wonder what kind of shenanigans go on behind the scenes in order to make candidates and/or issues win/lose.  I guess the big one today was for president:  reelect Barack Obama (D), or elect Mitt Romney (R).  Honestly, I've felt like this entire election season has been a choice between the lesser of two evils, and had a hard time filling in my absentee ballot because of it.  In the end, I went with Romney.  Lo and behold, my streak of always voting for the losing presidential candidate is unbroken!  Gore in 2000, Kerry in 2004, McCain in 2008, and now Romney in 2012 - I rock at choosing the loser!!!!  Nonetheless, I will be glad tomorrow when people start settling back into their normal routines and forget about politics for another year or so.
