Early mornings

There are two things I adore doing if I can get up before the sun and have a little time to myself:  go for a long run, or work in the yard.  This morning, I got to do yard work.  We have bushes in front of the front window that haven't been trimmed since we bought the house almost five years ago.  Today, I trimmed them down so they were even across the front, side, and top, and then made sure the branches in the back won't hit the house during wind.  Honestly, it was great fun.  I'm happy to do it because I get outside and I can watch and listen to the rest of the area waking up.  I see people walking dogs, jogging, people in the abandoned construction site playing with their dogs, and all kinds of other people starting to get up to go places and/or work by their homes.  Fun!  Then, I get to watch the sun come up and whole area brighten up.  It's been a good morning already, and now we get to go to a birthday party tonight.  Happy Easter weekend!
