5K run

I did a 5K run yesterday (no joke!) to try to get myself a little bit more back into a race mindset.  Granted, I've only had about 10 days to train for this one after taking three weeks off, so I wasn't expecting spectacular results.  I finished in 28:14, which isn't terrible, but I did have to walk twice (at 2 miles and at 2.5 miles).  However, I think that with a few more weeks of running regularly, I can get back in the groove no problem.  My goal is ~25 minutes when I run in May, which I don't think is out of the question.  Still, I finished 137 out of 290, and 8th out of 17 in my age division.  Yay!  It was a fun morning too, with L enjoying the bouncy castle and E eating bagels out the wazoo.  I think my husband had fun taking pictures, but not so much with running after the girls.  L ran the kids race and got 2nd place in the 3 and under race!  Looking forward to more racing soon.
